A CHARITY day raised more than £700 for good causes as residents gathered for fun and games.
Shops in St David’s Close Parade in Iver Heath took part in the charity day to raise money for Cancer Research UK and to aid the Iver Heath Resident’s Association defibrillator fund.
Punters raised £712 through a tombola, kids games and a variety of stalls such as arts and crafts, jewellery and face painting.
Laura Wickens, who co-organised the event alongside her boss Jenny Bassi at Rumour’s Hair and Beauty, said: “We did really well, most of the money raised came through the tombola.
“The money is to go towards Cancer Research and the defibrillator fund - it made a lot of sense to help out a local cause as well.
“Because it was Father’s Day that helped out a bit.
“A lot of people came along.”
La Palma restaurant enjoyed booming trade thanks to the increased number of visitors on the parade, and the Italian restaurant were offering discounted pizza, prosecco and Peroni.
Homemade cakes were also available, and Matt the Magician entertained the crowd with his dazzling display of tricks.
