A WOMAN was taken to hospital after being attacked with a bottle in Langley.
The woman, in her 30s, was walking from London Road across the footbridge towards Grampian Way at around 10.55pm on Friday when she was approached by a man.
The man grabbed the victim's arm and attacked her several times with a bottle.
The victim suffered some puncture wounds and was treated at Wexham Park Hospital. She has since been discharged.
The offender is between 35 and 36-years-old, around 5ft 4 ins tall, of a large build, with short dark brown hair and dark brown eyes.
Detective Inspector Peter Wall who is leading the investigation said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who witnessed this offence, has any information or recognises the description of the offender.
“A thorough investigation is being carried out which means there will be an increased police presence in the area. Whilst this is an isolated incident I would urge members of the public to remain vigilant and report anything suspicious they see. If you have any concerns or information to pass on then please approach one of our officers."
