A TEENAGER was stabbed after refusing a man a cigarette in a Slough park.
A 17-year-old male was stabbed in the back and hand at 12.30pm on Friday last week in Baylis Park close to the fun fair.
The victim was walking in the park and stopped to smoke a cigarette near the walkway from Belfast Avenue towards the park.
He was approached by a man who asked for a cigarette. When the victim refused, the man produced a knife and swung it at the victim causing the injuries.
The victim ran off and was taken to hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged.
Investigating Officer, Detective Constable Mohammed Rashid, based at Maidenhead police station, said: “Investigation is ongoing in connection with this incident, and we are currently appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this assault to come forward.”
The offender is described as a white man, in his early twenties, 5ft 11 ins, large build, short blond hair, box cut fringe, wearing a black and red coloured jacket, with a back pack.
