A MAN was arrested on suspicion of terror offences on this afternoon.
A 50-year-old man was arrested at Heathrow airport by the Metropolitan Police's Counter Terrorism Command as he got off a plane coming from Cairo.
He was arrested on suspicion of "possession of articles containing information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism".
A north London property was searched as part of the investigation.
The man is not believed to have links to ISIS or Syria.
In a statement, police said: "The arrest was pre-planned and not in response to any immediate danger."
