Pupils at Eden Girl’s School, Bath Road, took part in a range of sporting activities last Friday to raise money for Sports Relief.
A spokeswoman for Eden Girl’s School said: “We had quite a lot of events throughout the day - we had boxing, curling, obstacle courses, dancing board games, penalty shoot-outs and fitness challenges.
“The whole school was involved, even the staff. That’s about 390 students in total.”
In total, the girls raised £850 for the charity, through money they paid to take part in the activities.
This year, donations and contributions to nationally have raised £38,195,278 for Sports Relief so far. The money will be primarily used to combat malaria in sub-Saharan Africa, improve maternal health around the world, and help to address mental health issues of those in the UK.
