FIREFIGHTERS tackled a fire in a block of flats today (Thursday)
Two fire engines were were dispatched at around 1.30pm today, after a fire broke out in Jupiter Court, Cippenham.
A spokesman for Slough Fire Station said the fire had started in the kitchen, and spread to the rest of the house.
Firefighters worked for around half and hour to bring the fire under control and clear the building of smoke, but stayed for longer for Fire Victim Support to arrive, as the family that occupied the flat had lost much of their possessions, and their home.
Slough Fire Station advised residents to ensure that they do not leave their cooking unattended.
