FIREFIGHTERS have been working hard today, following multiple incidents on the M25.

At roughly 1.10pm today (Friday) firefighters from Langley Fire Station were called out to the M25, following reports that a skip on the back of a lorry had caught fire.

The lorry put down the skip next to Junction 16, where firefighters doused the flames. The lorry and skip were then escorted to a facility in Beaconsfield, where the contents of the skip was emptied and checked for any lingering embers. Firefighters finished their work at around 3.30pm.

However, firefighters were then called out again almost immediately to a five-car vehicle collision on the M25, between junctions 16 and 17.

Luckily, nobody was seriously injured, and firefighters left after making the road secure, and making sure everybody involved was safe.
