RUNNERS are preparing for a charity race to support seriously ill children.
Run Wexham 2018, held annually in aid of seriously ill children at Wexham Park Hospital, is set for July 8.
This year’s race will see a major changes, as the run is moving from the area around the hospital to the nearby Black Park. Runners will have the choice of a 10km trail race, a 2km family fun run, and a newly introduced 5km run.
Proceeds from the event will got to Children’s Critical Care Appeal, a £210,000 campaign to support Wexham Park Hospital’s children high dependency unit. The money will buy new specialist equipment beyond what is afforded by the NHS budget.
Runners are encouraged to wear fancy dress. Those who join the Frimely Health Charity team will have their entry fee waived and get a free running vest, providing they raise £50 in sponsorship for the hospital.
You can register for the run by visiting www.frimleyhealthcharity.org/
