People do not usually get murdered at village fetes.
But in Riverside Players' next production A Fete Worse Than Death written by local playwright Richard James that it exactly what happens.
It is a murder mystery and comedy rolled into one, set at a village fete where the action takes place in the country produce tent.
Actor Ray Martin is opening the fete, using his fame from playing TV’s Inspector Brady. Little does he know that ambition, infidelity and marrow envy will lead to murder, and he’ll be left to solve the murder – without a script.
The show will be performed at the Memorial Hall, Straight Road, Old Windsor, from Thursday to Saturday, June 28 to 30 at 8pm.
Ticket prices are £10 for adults and £8 for concessions. Book online now at www.riversideplayers.com/boxoffice.shtml, or call the box office on 07717 671765.
