Movie superstar Jodie Foster has delighted Holiday Inn bosses - after sharing happy memories of staying at one of their hotels near Slough as a little girl.
During interviews to promote her new film Hotel Armenis, Miss Foster described how she stayed there in the 1970s while filming Bugsy Malone at Pinewood Studios.
Newspapers have reported how she loved the 'smell of chlorine' and the ping pong table.
More than 40 years later locals are racking their brains to remember exactly where she would have stayed - as new hotels have since sprung up and Holiday Inn has opened new premises.
But if the double Oscar winner is a Holiday Inn fan the enthusiasm is mutual.
A spokesman for the company said: "We’re big Jodie Foster fans too. We can’t wait to go and see Hotel Artemis…. and in the meantime, Jodie is always welcome to come and stay at any of our Holiday Inn hotels any time she likes.”
