A LONG-RUNNING horticultural show will be returning soon.

The Stoke Poges, Wexham and Fulmer Horticultural Society will be putting on their 125th Annual Show on Saturday, July 28, in the grounds of Stoke Poges School, Rogers Lane, from 12.30pm to 5.30pm.

Categories are available for all ages in flowers, fruit, vegetables, art and crafts, and photography. Alongside the competition, there will be a brass band, a classic car display, a barbecue and bar, and a number of activities for children. The cups and trophies will be presented by the Earl and Countess Howe.

Ruth Rooley, chairwoman of the Horticultural Society, said: “This is the 125th show which is a very big milestone for us.

"The society has been going since 1884, and has put on the show every year, except during the World Wars. It's very good that we've been able to keep it going, as it is for all ages and very much a community event."

Admission is £3 for adults, £2 for seniors, with children entering free.
