A Berkshire-based college welcomed a Royal visit.

Earlier this month on May 18, Berkshire College of Agriculture (BCA), located in Maidenhead, was visited by HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh.

During the visit to the college, she engaged with students and observed how BCA is supporting young people with the knowledge and skills to access careers in Agriculture and Horticulture.

The Duchess was given a tour of the campus and had the opportunity to meet students as well as visit the energy workshop and animal centre facilities.

BCA boasts a long-standing reputation for excellence and is committed to providing world-class facilities to its students.

Principal Anne Entwistle said “We were delighted to welcome HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh to BCA.

"There was lots of excitement as students were keen to talk about what they were doing and the industry-specific skills and knowledge that they have gained during their time at BCA.

"They were very proud to share their achievements and plans for their future careers in agriculture and horticulture with HRH.

"The college works closely and collaboratively with industry partners to enrich the student experience and address current skills shortages in the sector ensuring our students gain a head start when it comes to future employment.”
