A man in his 60s was taken to hospital after being robbed in Slough.

At around 10.15pm on Friday, December 1, the person was walking along the Baylis Road underpass leading to Salt Hill Park.

He was then approached by three men who began to punch him.

As he fell to the ground, the attack continued where he had his rucksack taken.

The man, who was attacked, was then approached by a woman, who wasn’t known to him, where he returned his rucksack when the perpetrators dropped it as they saw her approaching.

He was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.

Investigating officer PC Bethany Neville said: “I would like to appeal to anybody in the area who may have any camera footage, witnessed this or has any information regarding this incident, to please get in touch.

“I would like to appeal for the member of the public who approached the victim and returned his rucksack to come forward.

"She is described as a woman in her forties, around 5ft tall wearing a cream-coloured jacket with trousers.
