Changes are planned for a popular family restaurant in Slough which could be getting a fresh new look soon.

The Montagu Arms near Junction 5 of the M4, a Harvester, could be getting new signage and a repaint to freshen up its look.

Elsewhere, the Co-op in Britwell will be getting a rebrand after changes were approved by Slough Borough Council.

In the Royal Borough, a plan to build homes in the car park of a pub that has been closed for around five years has expired.

The Montagu Arms in London Road, Langley has long served as a Harvester restaurant.

Now the Harvester brand owners Mitchells & Butlers has applied to install new signage and branding.

Mitchells & Butlers wants to replace the tall post for the restaurant with an oval-shaped sign.

Meanwhile, lettering on the building would be refurbished and ground-mounted signs would be replaced with a ‘driftwood’ colour with white letters.

The Co-op at the Kennedy Parade in Britwell has won advertising permission for a rebrand.

The project will involve a change from the current green branding to the Co-op’s new grey and blue letter colour scheme.

White letters will state ‘Welcome to Long Furlogh Drive’s Co-op’.

The store is contained within the parade which contains a range of other shops.

A plan to build 10 flats next to The Crown pub in Wooton Way, Maidenhead has expired.

The applicant, Kaywood Development Ltd, had a plan to build 10 two-bed flats in the car park of the pub, which closed in 2018/19.

However, the plan has now expired according to a letter from the Royal Borough’s planning department.

The letter states: “There has been no recent correspondence from the agent on this application.

“Given this time period, the Local Planning Authority has therefore disposed of the application.”

The owner of a grand house in an exclusive area of Ascot has applied to convert it into apartments.

Hamilton House is a five-bedroom home located in Larch Avenue next to Sunningdale Park.

Now the owner wants to convert it into two three-bedroom and two two-bedroom apartments.

The project would involve building a substantial side and rear extension and internal modifications.
