The worshipful Amjad Abbasi, the Mayor of Slough, has been once again busying himself in the local community and meeting up with those who really make a difference in our town.
This week the Mayor met with key volunteers for the charitable organisation Giving hope Furniture who provide household items for vulnerable people.
These people may have been recently homeless or be fleeing from dangerous situations.
The councillor posted a number of photographs on social media of himself and those at Giving hope Furniture.
Along with the pictures he also shared the following statement:
"The worshipful the Mayor of Slough Cllr Amjad Abbasi is meeting with the Giving hope Furniture Project team.
"Giving Hope Furniture project is a new project offering help to the most vulnerable who have found themselves in crisis, either through finding themselves homeless, being a refugee, or fleeing domestic abuse, along with a number of other reasons."
