A COUNCIL is seeking residents views on sexual entertainment licenses after it failed to consult them when licensing requirements were approved previously.
South Bucks District Council (SBDC) adopted legislation in December 2010 that required sexual entertainment venues, such as lap dancing and strip clubs, to be licensed, but failed to publish notices to this effect to circulate the decision.
The council is now asking residents and businesses in the district to determine whether they are in favour of continuing with licensing requirements or if they believe sexual entertainment venues do not require a license.
There are currently no licensed sex shops or sex cinemas with SBDC, and only one application for a sexual entertainment venue license has been received, which was refused.
If you wish to contribute your views, email licensing@chiltern.gov.uk or write to Licensing Department, South Bucks and Chiltern District Councils, King George V House, King George V Road, Amersham, HP6 5AW before the deadline of Friday, September 5.
