HUNDREDS turned out to join some horsing around at an equestrian centre fun day.

A range of displays and activities attracted crowds to Moorwards Farm Equestrian Coaching Facility’s second Party in the Paddock on Sunday last week.

The sun shone down on the venue in Slough Road, Iver Heath, with pony rides proving a popular attraction among the 250 visitors.

The event raising money for HorseHeard – a not-for-profit company delivering workshops to develop key emotional and social skills – pulled in £300.

Moorwards Farm has been used by HorseHeard for some of its sessions in the past, but it will now be used on a more regular basis.

Jodie Maile, yard manager at the centre, said: “The sun came out and we had a lovely day.

“We have had dog agility, pony rides, live bands and demonstrations, and it has been great.” Andrew McFarlane, director of HorseHeard, added: “This is a yard where we do a lot of our programmes and we are delighted they are raising money on our behalf.” Young families enjoyed the activities on offer, which also included face-painting and a tea cup ride.

Coral Burgess, from Iver Heath, went along with her two-year-old son Rory. She said: “Rory has had a great time. He rode on the Shetland pony and he didn’t want to get off! He loved it.”
