A SIX vehicle pile-up brought rush hour traffic to a standstill on Friday.

Firefighters from Slough and Langley were called to the crash, between Junction 4B and 5 in M4 eastbound, at 5.08pm.

A Fiat Ducato van, Mercedes lorry, Vauxhall Meriva, Kia Cee'd, Ford Focus and Ford Mondeo were involved in the smash.

Firefighters used cutting equipment to rescue two trapped motorists. A 15-year-old was taken to Wexham Park Hospital with a broken leg and two other people had minor injuries.

Three lanes of the motorway were closed - causing tailbacks to Junction 6. The road was fully reopened at 7pm.
