FOUR men have been jailed for a total of 15 and a half years for cigarette raids in convenience stores and garages across the south.

The men, three of whom are from Slough, were jailed at Winchester Crown Court after ‘high value’ burglaries in areas including Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Hampshire between August 2012 and May 2013.

The men were sentenced on Friday (11) after pleading guilty to conspiracy to burgle. Jason Noakes, 33, of Elmshott Lane, Slough, and Luke Oliver, 32, of Heather Lane, West Drayton, were both sentenced to five years imprisonment.

Kirk Morgans, 31, of Slough, was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in jail while Michael Green, 23, from Sutton Avenue, Slough, was handed two years imprisonment.

Detective Constable Robert Muir, from Aldershot CID, speaking after the sentencing, said: “These men travelled around South East England committing high value burglaries at convenience stores and garages causing disruption to local businesses.

“During the investigation we executed a number of warrants, trawled hours of CCTV, collaborated with other forces and made use of forensic technology in order to help us solve the case and bring these men to justice.”
