A 54-year-old man is being treated in hospital after having his finger cut off during a robbery.
The man had his little finger severed and he also suffered a deep laceration on his ring finger as he tried to fight of the offender during the robbery at 11.15am yesterday (Tuesday).
The man was walking on a footpath between Furnival Avenue and Faraday Road in Slough when he was approached from behind, grabbed and threatened with a bread knife.
The offender searched the victim and stole money from his trouser pocket.
The man suffered the injuries while trying to fight back, and is receiving treatment at Wexham Park Hospital.
The offender spoke with a local accent and was wearing a green anorak-style jacket with a hood.
