Graham Jones, of no fixed abode, was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Tuesday to five years imprisonment for burgling five homes in Slough, five years for one burglary in South Bucks and one burlgary non-dwelling in Slough, and was also sentenced to one year for a theft from a motor vehicle.

Jones, 29, was ordered to serve all three sentences concurrently after pleading guilty to all eight offences.

Jones burgled five homes in Slough during the hours of darkness between July 5 and July 10, while each of the occupants were asleep. The burglaries happened in Pemberton Road, Aldridge Road, Tomlin Road, Wiltshire Avenue and Long Furlong Drive.

Between September 15 and 16 last year, Jones also burgled a property in Bishops Orchard, Farnham Royal, and between October 3 and 4 last year, he also broke into a garage attached to a property in Canterbury Avenue, Slough.

The theft from motor vehicle charge relates to an incident in Lynch Hill, Slough on July 7 this year.

Detective constable Amy Holden, speaking after the sentencing, said: “Initially Jones pleaded not guilty to the burglary non-dwelling in Canterbury Avenue, Slough and the burglary in South Buckinghamshire in October last year.

“However, he later changed his mind and pleaded guilty to all eight offences.

“I am pleased with his sentence which continues to demonstrate our commitment to tackling burglary and bringing offenders to justice.”
