THREE charities are encouraging people to sign up for a night on the streets to try to raise £100,000 to combat homelessness in the area.

The aim is to get 500 people sleeping rough for one night for the Big Sleepout at Hillingdon Athletics Stadium, Uxbridge, on Friday, November 28.

Each person is encouraged to raise at least £200. Slough Homeless our Concern, the London and Slough Run and the Trinity Homeless Project have teamed up to host the flagship fundraiser.

Mandy McGuire, project manager, said: “This would be the biggest sleepout ever and aims to raise more than £100,000 to tackle the big problem of local homelessness.” For more information, visit www.wearetrinity.org.uk or call 020 8797 9500.
