A ROAD sign was set alight in Slough last night.
One crew from the Slough Fire Station were called to tackle the fire in Long Readings Lane at around 11pm.
However, the fire had already been put out by police by the time the firefighters arrived.
A female resident who had come to inspect what was going on was taken to Wexham Park Hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but is thought to be arson.
