A DELIVERY driver was mowed down as he tried to stop a thief from making off in his van.
The 23-year-old driver was delivering a parcel in Monksfield Way, Britwell, when the offender got into the van and started to drive away.
The driver tried to stop the thief but was hit by the van as it drove off. The driver was treated at Wexham Park Hospital for his injuries.
It happened between 7-7.15pm on Tuesday. The van, with a numberplate beginning BK14, was last seen heading in the direction of the Haymill Estate.
Police are appealing for witnesses. Call them on 101 and ask to speak DC 6076 Parker and quote URN 1245 25/11.
A man, aged 25, has been arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle and is currently in custody.
