A HALLOWEEN party attack which left a man with multiple stab wounds has resulted in a four-and-a-half year jail term.

Leano Fleming, of Moray Drive, Slough, was put behind bars at Reading Crown Court on Fridayfor stabbing a 36-year-old man at a Halloween party in Frimley Drive, Cippenham, in the early hours of November 1 last year.

Fleming, 20, and around eight to 10 over people turned up uninvited at the house party attended by younger children and teenagers at around 11pm on October 31.

He and several and his friends were bumping into the DJ’s equipment and when warned by another partygoer - the victim - Fleming grabbed him around the neck.

The pair grappled with each other and Fleming was seen by witnesses to reach towards his pocket on several occasions and when the victim became distracted, Fleming stabbed him in the leg four times.

A weapon was never recovered.

The victim was taken to Wexham Park Hospital where he was given nine stitches to his leg wounds. He continues to have some trouble when walking.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Gary Hooks said: “I would like to thank the victim in this case for his support of the investigation and also the witnesses who attended court and helped bring Fleming to justice.

“This was a nasty attack which left the victim with prolonged injuries and so we are pleased with the sentence given at court.” Fleming was found guilty of one count of grievous bodily harm with intent and one charge of affray at Reading Crown Court on October 22 following a three day trial.

He was given four-and-a-half years for the GBH and 12 months for the affray, to be served concurrently.
