Adam Azim believes he has a "great opportunity to win gold" for England at the European Championships in Croatia.
SLOUGH Boxing sensation Adam Azim has been selected to represent England at the European Championships in Croatia.
Azim, 13, trains at the Pinewood Amateur Boxing Club in Wokingham and won the National Schoolboy Championships for his age group at 48kg in June.
He was crowned the best in England when retaining his golden gloves, and later won gold for his country at a tri-nations event in Doncaster.
Azim said: “I went to a selection camp and you have to be out- standing to go to the European Championships, and the selectors said I really was.
“I was really happy and am proud to represent my county. My Dad was in tears. I’ve got a great opportunity to win gold.”
