SLOUGH Town FC joint-manager Jon Underwood insists that his team will not roll over against Weymouth this Saturday.

Weymouth travel to Holloways Park tomorrow (3pm ko) with a one point lead at the top of the Southern Premier Division table.

The Terras had been unbeaten in 13 league matches until a surprise 4-2 home defeat against Paulton Rovers on Tuesday.

Underwood admits that Weymouth are his favourites to win the league and has hailed their attacking qualities.

However, he knows that this is a fixture Slough need to win if they are to start climbing the table.

Speaking to the Observer, Underwood said: “It is not going to be easy on Saturday and we are not the favourites.

“But we do not want to except a narrow defeat and just move on to the next one.

“If we want to push up the league then we need to win games that people do not expect us to.

“We have seen Weymouth a couple of times this season and they are our favourites for the league.

“We see them as the best side in the division, but they had a bad night on Tuesday and it was not a good performance.

“That gives us a bit more confidence but you never know what it might do to them on Saturday.

“It might galvanise them to push on or knock their confidence, but we are also stronger now.

“We are going in with plenty of confidence ourselves and the lads have trained very well.

“Our new signing Adam Martin comes into the picture and he will be a big player for us.

“There is no pressure on us on Saturday because people see Weymouth as the favourites.” Underwood continued: “Weymouth’s strength is very much going forward. Stuart Yetton is a big character for them and scores lots of goals.

“But he came off with a head injury that needed stitches on Tuesday, so we will see if he is fit.

“Chris Shepherd, who we rate very highly, is also suspended.

“Weymouth caused us problems which we could not deal with before, but we have come up with a different way to play on Saturday.

“If you judge them on midweek, where they defended poorly, there is room to get at them.

“Weymouth prefer to try and out-score teams compared to Poole Town, who are much stronger defensively but do not score as many.

“Our forwards are playing well at the moment and causing most centre half partnerships problems.” **PICK up a copy of the Observer, out now, for all the latest sports news and action including more from Jon Underwood** **FOLLOW the Observer on Twitter at @Observer_sports**
