SLOUGH recorded their biggest win of the season in the BBO Premier after a 43-5 thrashing of Risborough on Saturday.

The Greenies were far too good for their visitors at Tamblyn Fields and registered back-to-back home wins for the first time since October 2014.

Both Mikey Spandley and Ashley Morgan scored twice in the victory, with Colby Short, Joe Sole and Max Miles all also bagging tries. Rob King booted four conversions.

The win sees Slough remain in eighth position in the table and well clear of the relegation places.

The Greenies will bid for a third win on the bounce at home when bottom-of-the-table Wheatley visit on March 5.

Phoenix require only two points from their home fixture against Berkshire Shire Hall on March 5 to be crowned BBO Championship winners.

Farnham Royal moved up to fourth position in the table following a 48-3 victory away at Aldermaston on Saturday.

Jason Gumbs, Stuart Moffat and Wayne Garstang all scored two tries in the win, whilst Jamie Moffat and Tony Ward added to the points total.

The Royals welcome Faringdon to Farnham Park on March 5.

In the Southern Counties North, Drifters slipped into the relegation zone after a 17-8 Buckinghamshire derby defeat away at Beaconsfield on Saturday.

Drifters, now a point from safety with six matches remaining, host top-of-the-table Reading Abbey this Saturday (2.15pm).

Both Windsor and Maidenhead were beaten in South West One East.
