SLOUGH Borough Council and Morgan Sindall invited the Slough Observer into the Arbour Park Community Sports Stadium for a look inside the main stand, which is on course to be completed in May 2017.

The Community Sports Stadium, the new home of Slough Town, is being built in two phases and at a cost of £8.4 million.

The Rebels have already moved into the facility, which can also be hired out by the community, and attracted a crowd of over 1,400 for their long-awaited homecoming back in August.

More than 900 spectators witnessed Slough's derby clash with Chesham United on Bank Holiday Monday.

On Wednesday, the Slough Observer was allowed into the main stand for the very first time and the videos below show the view football fans will get from the top plus the ongoing construction works inside.

We also caught up with Sohail Munawar, the leader of Slough Borough Council and Karl Hoffman, project manager at Arbour Park. You can read their thoughts inside the Observer this Friday.

The Rebels' next home match is Saturday January 21 when promotion rivals Chippenham Town are the visitors to Arbour Park.
