Stoke Place hotel in Slough has announced a mini experience break this weekend with activities ranging from a gin masterclass to archery and axe throwing.

The hotel at Stoke Green will host the event from tomorrow (Friday) until Sunday.

Activities can be booked as standalone activities for guests who have already booked a stay at Stoke Place, or they can be booked as add-ons to a one, two or three-night stay over the weekend. Bookings can also be made by diners with reservations, for example guests can enjoy a Sunday bottomless brunch followed by clay pigeon shooting.

There are a range of activities to choose from:

• Gin Masterclass, Friday 4 September from 7pm. Sample the delights of Griffith's Brother Gin led by bar manager Renee, and a Griffith's Brother Gin Mixologist. Includes two sample gins, and a gin cocktail (£25pp).

• Archery, Saturday 5 September 2pm-6pm. Unleash your inner Maid Marian, or Robin Hood! Have a go at this medieval sport which puts your hand eye coordination to the test (£20pp).

• Axe throwing, Saturday 5 September 2pm-6pm. Let go of your lockdown frustrations with this unusual and fun activity, testing your accuracy and precision as you try to hit the wooden target (£20pp).

• Chef experience, Saturday 5 September 3.30pm. Enjoy a lesson with head chef David Jaram in how to make crab ravioli, complete with a four-course meal and recipe to take home. Relax and enjoy the grounds between your lesson and your meal and soak up all Stoke Place has to offer (£70pp).

• Gone fishing, Friday 4, Saturday 5, Sunday 6 September (available all day). Enjoy a fishing experience at Stoke Place Lake complete with two islands, plenty of lilies and lots of pikes and carp. Rod licence of £12 is required, and all other equipment is provided (£50pp per day).

• Laser clay pigeon shooting, Sunday 6 September 2pm-6pm. Enjoy the thrill of clay pigeon shooting without the danger with our new deactivated, laser technology-fitted shotguns. Our expert guides will ensure you have the best experience no matter what your ability (£20pp).
