A CROWN Court judge has criticized the way a case was handed after the sentencing of a Slough flasher was postponed again.

Omar Abdulswamad, of no fixed abode, was due to be sentenced at Reading Crown Court this morning having admitted to exposing himself in Slough in January 2021.

But a decision on the 21-year-old’s fate was yet again delayed after a psychiatric report into Abdulswamad was not completed.

Defence counsel Alan Wellington told Judge Norton the report had not been uploaded -- an issue which prevented the court from sentencing Abdulswamad back in April, too.

“This case seems to be something of a mess in a number of different ways.

“This is hopeless.”

Mr Wellington was ordered to fill in the relevant form and hand it into the general office at Reading Crown Court, instead.

Sitting on Monday, May 24, Judge Norton delayed the sentencing to July -- three months after Abdulswamad was originally due to be sentenced.
