A CARE home in Slough will continue to be in special measures after being rated as ‘inadequate’ by government healthcare inspectors AGAIN.

Forever Homecare in Burnham, Slough, received the Care Quality Commission’s (CQC) lowest possible rating and its service was judged not to be safe, effective or well-led after an August inspection.

CQC examiners found that "the provider had failed to ensure everyone using the service had received an assessment of their needs and we found some people did not have a care plan in place."

Inspectors also noted that they "also found the service had failed to display their CQC rating at their office base and website.

"Effective systems were not in place to meet the requirements of the duty of candour and the service had failed to inform the Commission of some information they are required to."

Forever Homecare in Burnham was last inspected in March 2021 and was rated as Requires Improvement.

Since then, inspectors visited the care home after receiving concerns in relation to the overall management and management of medicines.

The CQC report did however state that: “Since our last inspection we found people were more likely to receive support from regular staff and this also considered people's cultural and language needs."

The CQC says if “sufficient improvements” are not made, it will move to stop the care home from operating.
