MULTIPLE people have appeared in courts across Reading the week to be sentenced, to stand trial, to be arraigned and more.

From restraining order breaches to sexual offences, here are some of the people who have been sentenced to jail this week:

A REPEAT offender has been jailed after breaching a restraining order less than a month after being released from prison.

Daniel Annis, 37, was caught at 1.30am on May 6 this year knocking on the door of a property in Reading he was legally not allowed to attend.

He was previously made subject to a restraining order in November 2021 not to contact a woman who has since said she lives in fear of her safety due to his actions.

However, after being released from prison on April 26, he visited her home and followed her on TikTok.

Judge Sarah Campbell sentenced Annis, of Barnabas Road, Wokingham, to 12 months imprisonment at Reading Crown Court on Monday (June 12).

A SECURITY guard has been jailed for six years after punching a shoplifter, causing him to fall and suffer from fatal head injuries leading to his death.

Sabeur Trabelsi, 45, of King’s Road, Reading, was found guilty of manslaughter at Reading Crown Court following a trial of delivering a ‘fatal blow’ to Jason Page, 52, on March 31, 2021.

He was jailed today (June 12) at the same court by Judge Amjad Nawaz. He will serve half of his sentence before being released on licence.

The starting point for Trabelsi’s sentence was seven and a half years. However, Judge Nawaz reduced it due to his ‘good character’, the remorse and the fact he remained at the scene.

He also received a two-year-old concurrent sentence for perverting the course of justice.

TWO men have been jailed after conspiracy to supply Class A drugs in 2018.

Malik Khan and Zaheer Shabbir, both 34, were sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Friday (June 16) to two counts of conspiracy to heroin and cocaine.

The pair were found guilty after a trial at the same court and were handed custodial sentences by Judge Edward Burgess.

Khan, of Australia Avenue in Maidenhead, was sentenced to five years and nine months imprisonment and Shabbir, of Sawyer’s Close in Windsor, was sentenced to three years and nine months imprisonment.

A ‘DANGEROUS’ man has been jailed for over a dozen sexual offences and crimes.

Bradley Dixon, 29, from Slough, was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Wednesday, June 14 after he was found guilty by a majority jury verdict of 18 separate offences, following a trial at the same court which concluded on January 23.

Dixon was convicted of five counts of rape, three counts of attempted rape, six counts of sexual assault of a child, one count of assault of a child by penetration and three counts of causing a child to engage in sexual activity.
