A BARRISTER has urged the jury in the murder trial of Kyron Lee to find the three men charged guilty.

Prosecutor Michael Shaw told the jury at Reading Crown Court that the ‘evidence and common sense’ points to guilty verdicts for the three men on trial charged with Mr Lee’s murder.

The 21-year-old was knocked from his bike in Earls Lane by a 'stolen' black Golf on October 2 last year at about 8.50pm.

He was then 'chased' into Waterman Court and stabbed to death.

It is the Crown’s case that Khalid Nur, 20, Yaqhub Mussa, 21, Fras Seedahmed, 18, all of Slough, Mohammed Elgamri, 18, of Windsor and Elias Almallah hit Mr Lee with the vehicle before chasing him with weapons.

Nur, Elgamri and Seedahmed are have been on trial for a month which is now drawing to a close.

Two of those men are not on trial - Mussa, who has pleaded guilty to murder, and Almallah, who is said to have fled jurisdiction.

Speaking to the jury during his closing speech, Mr Shaw said the case is ‘tragic’ for everybody involved and urged them to deliver guilty verdicts.

“The intention of the men who got out of the Golf could not be clearer,” he said. “There are no winners in this type of case, only losers.

“This case is tragic for these three men and their families and for Kyron Lee and his family. On 2nd of October 2022, the three men in the dock charged with murder made choices. They stuck to that decision and each other since.

“Kyron Lee, however, didn’t have a choice. The correct verdict on charge one is guilty, guilty, guilty.

“Not because I say so but because these are the verdicts the evidence and common sense drives you to.”

Mr Shaw added that the case was about intention and identification as he also summarised the evidence which the Crown believes identifies the three defendants as being involved in the attack.

The defence counsel for all three men will also deliver closing speeches with the jury due to retire to consider their verdicts by the end of the week.

They will also need to decide whether a fourth defendant, Yakoub Tarafi, 18, is guilty of assisting an offender post murder by driving two of the defendants away from Slough.

Another defendant, Mohamed Abduelle, who the prosecution believe had a hand in planning the attack, has been charged but will stand trial separately at a later date.
