A DRUG dealer who appeared in the dock with a broken leg has avoided jail.

Sukhleen Kundi, of Maidenhead Road in Windsor, was caught with £1,650 in street value of cannabis in May this year.

The 28-year-old was caught in Eton Wick on May 11 at about 5pm after his vehicle was stopped by police officers and searched.

He appeared at Reading Crown Court on Thursday (September 7) for sentencing after pleading guilty to one count of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class B – namely cannabis.

Prosecuting, the barrister said that the defendant was also caught with £90 in cash and the cannabis was found within 55 wraps hidden inside the vehicle and a further three wraps in his trousers.

The court heard that Kundi has five convictions for five previous offences including possession with intent to supply cannabis in 2017 and possession of cannabis in 2021.

Defending Kundi, his barrister said that both of his parents rely on him ‘physically, emotionally and financially’ after his father was recently diagnosed with legionnaires disease and spent three months in a coma.

He added that Kundi has ‘complicated mental health issues’ himself and had been using cannabis since the age of 18.

Recorder Stuart Ritchie KC gave him a 50-month community order with 30 rehabilitation activity days and 100 hours of unpaid work.
