Over £14,000 has been raised to build a life-sized statue to memorialise "Windsor's favourite cat".
Dexter Windsor, was fatally and "tragically involved in a car accident" last week, aged 13.
Kirsty Jarvis, who describes herself as Dexter's "extremely lucky human" and mum, had started the account when Dexter started taking himself on walks into the centre of Windsor.
She had just had a (human) baby and would receive three - four phone calls a day from shop owners saying that her cat had appeared in their store.

Rather than constantly going to collect him, Kirsty decided she could keep tabs on her wandering Silver Bengal Persian Cross by asking people to send photos of him out and about in town.

Since Kirsty shared the news of Dexter's death, she has been blown away by messages of love for the cat and the question of whether there will be a statue.
A GoFundMe page has raised £14,209 towards making a memorial to Dexter, and Kirsty has stated that the council have also been supportive about the idea.
Kirsty likes the idea of having a statue so that people can continue to see the cat around town for many years to come.
She said: "It is encouraging to think that in 100 years people will still be able to spot him with a statue, like Queen Victoria."

Dexter's owner described her own favourite memory of her cat, saying that when he was younger, he had appeared in the garden, holding a full kebab stick, which was still warm.
She still finds the idea of Dexter, who always enjoyed hunting, stealing a kebab from a BBQ.
At the time, she was worried he would injure himself with the skewer, but he growled at her, not letting go, thinking she was trying to take it.
Kirsty is not the only one with fond memories of Dexter.
She has said she was used to having grown men approach her cat, saying hello to him and speaking to him like he was a human in the street when Dexter was following her through town, but that she did not expect quite so many people to reach out with stories of their relationships with him.
From him cuddling up on comfy chairs, to sitting in laps in barbershops, many people in Windsor had interactions with him in town and enjoyed spotting him.

Kirsty said: "Dexter made friends absolutely everywhere he went.
"He wasn’t just my cat - somehow, he became everyone’s."
