DANIEL GAUT will take the next step in his boxing journey when he challenges David Merton for the PowerBox Promotions Class B heavyweight title on June 4.
Gaut, 30, beat one-time rival Rees Cornell in a title eliminator on the promotion’s previous show back in March, and the Slough ace will return to Atik in Windsor confident of another win.
“I definitely think I’m going to win. I don’t ever think I’m going to lose,” he told the Observer. “If I thought I was going to lose I wouldn’t be doing it.
“It doesn’t matter how it (the win) comes, points or a knockout, it’s going to happen."
Gaut is using boxing to raise money for Cancer Research UK in memory of his late mother-in-law, Amanda Ball.
Donations can be made on his JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/lee-ball3?utm_id=26.
