Slough has once again been bashed in a roundup of the prettiest and ugliest towns.

In The Telegraph's latest roundup, Slough has been labelled "ugly".

The newspaper rated each town across the country out of 50, broken into the following categories; shop fronts, historic architecture, low traffic/litter, views, and greenery.

Slough was given a 0/10 for shop fronts, 2/10 for architecture, 3/10 for traffic and litter, 0/10 for views and 7/10 for greenery.

Sally Howard wrote in the Telegraph: "Today the town’s High Street has been rated one of the unhealthiest in the UK for its preponderance of takeaways and lack of leisure facilities, and pound shops colonise the stores that cling on in boxy 20th-century shop fronts, although a £110 million makeover is planned in coming years (and there is an excellent baked potato stand on the High Street, run for 32 years by local John Hughes, that we won’t hear a word said against)."

She added that just a short drive away is the "polite" suburbs around Eton College and luxury estates in Bucks and Berks including The Langley.

Previously the town has rated poorly, featuring in many rankings of the worst towns, which TikTok stars visit the area to cast their own judgements.

However, we believe Slough isn't all bad.
