SLOUGH boxer Hassan Azim has become a National Association champion for his age group.
The Westgate School pupil secured the title in Bristol when beating Northern area winner Donte Dixon from Manor Boxing Club, Sheffield.
The Azim family have now had a number of achievements in amateur boxing with Hassan and younger brother, Adam Azim, both contracted to England Talent Pathway and regular training camps with England Boxing.
Between the two brothers they have won six national titles and have several international caps.
The event in Bristol was held by the National Association of Boys & Girls Clubs which encourages links and to build relationships at local, county, national and international levels.
The next step for Hassan Azim is the Youth Championships in January, and the boxing sensation is focused on winning.
He said: “I will be 12 months younger than my opponents, but the rewards for winning is the European Youth Championships and Youth Commonwealth in Barbados.
“I will be trying my hardest to ensure I give my best performance throughout the campaign.”
