SLOUGH star Betsy Ommala led Kenya-based Telkom Orange to another win in the Africa Cup for Club Champions in Nairobi.
They defeated GRA of Ghana 2-0 in the final to record a fifth championship win in succession and their 10th in 20 years.
In the meantime, Slough are continuing with preparations for Super Sixes day at Wembley Arena on Sunday January 29.
Having won the indoor Premier Division title at Telford two weeks ago, the Pink and Blacks are now looking forward to taking on Sutton Coldfield in their semi-final. Slough beat them 9-3 in the league encounter last month.
The Pink and Blacks captain, Kat McGonigle, believes that Bowdon Hightown, who sealed their Super Sixes place with two matches to spare, will go into the SSE Arena as favourites.
She said: “When we played them it wasn’t our best game, or probably not their best game either.
“They had secured their spot at Wembley by the end of the third day, so that’s why they may have slipped up.
“I would think they would start favourites, but we’re a very strong side and it should be a very good game if we do both make it to the final.”
